A word of caution though: This method sends the same mail to the owner as to the customer. If you are looking for a nicer solution (for instance a mail that shows what to pick from the store and where) then I suggest you keep looking.</description>

That one is new to me, given that you cleared the caches and logged out (and back in) after installing the new plugin.

You can also check the apache logs and look if that gives any hints as to files with bad permissions.</description>
